About

The name Kaffa

Kaffa refers to a region in the southwest of Ethiopia where wild coffee grows. The word "coffee" originates from this territory, recognized as the cradle of the Coffea arabica species. This geographical and botanical reference guides our approach and informs the selection of our specialty coffees.

Roasting

Each batch is roasted in 15 kg increments in our workshop in Halle. We import green coffee via the port of Antwerp. The roasting date is handwritten on each bag. Orders are prepared and shipped within 48 business hours.

The coffees

We offer three coffees: an Ethiopia Yirgacheffe, a Brazil Cerrado, and a house blend. Each is selected for its unique characteristics. The profiles are updated according to arrivals and seasonality. Detailed information is provided on each product sheet.
